The Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) presents “A Touching Encounter with Music and Dance from Taiwan”. The Tour by College of Performing Arts, National Taiwan University of Arts. With impressions of the temporal and spatial background as well as affection for Taiwan as the axis, varied dance arts, traditional string and woodwind and percussion music are used to convey the unique art and culture of Taiwan, to arouse the memories and emotions of their homeland of overseas compatriots.

In Yu-Wei Hsiao’s music arrangement, he co-rearranges Taiwanese folk songs with Kanter and Chang, such as “Ban Choon Hong (Spring Breeze),” “The Torment of a Flower,” and “On a Rainy Night in a Harbor City,” using Classical, Jazz, and neo-soul styles.
