This is a project focusing on merging old-school elements with modern cultures, featuring actor Leo Yu-Ning Chang, pianist Sobina Chi Kanter, music arranger Oscar Chang and singer Kui-Fang Tseng. In this performance, Chieh Hsiung not only introduces Taiwanese folk dances, but also uses them to make connections with modern dance, contemporary dance, street dance, and ballroom dance. In Yu-Wei Hsiao’s music arrangement, he co-rearranges Taiwanese folk songs with Kanter and Chang, such as “Ban Choon Hong (Spring Breeze),” “The Torment of a Flower,” and “On a Rainy Night in a Harbor City,” using Classical, Jazz, and neo-soul styles.
